Grey Limestone in Wet Areas - Architessa

Lagos Azul & Grey Argent are two Limestones that can be problematic when installed in wet applications and are not recommended for any application where water can accumulate.

    • High Calcium Content can create a white film on the stone when it dries after shower use.
    • Some grey limestone has a high salt content which leads to efflorescence (salt materials coming to the surface and crystallizing).
    • It is recommended that the stone is set with a low-water adhesive such as epoxy – but always confirm this with the stone supplier
    • Before sealing the stone with a penetrating sealer, allow the stone to fully breathe and dry out. This minimizes the effects of efflorescence but IS NOT guaranteed to completely prevent it

ALWAYS CHECK WITH THE SUPPLIER BEFORE SUGGESTING NATURAL PRODUCT IN A WET ENVIRONMENT.
