Pantone recently introduced their 2020 Color of the Year: Classic Blue. If you aren’t familiar with Pantone’s annual announcement, the Color of the Year a recurring pick from Pantone’s color experts that influences the gamut of design industries from fashion to interior design. This year’s blue hue was selected based on a careful analysis of trends across entertainment, art, travel, technology, and beyond.
We think the 2020 pick is spot on as far as the design industry goes. We’ve been seeing a resurgence in the popularity of navy and blue cabinets paired with whites, greys, and metallic accents.
The Pantone Color Institute also picks some palette options to go along with their annual color selection. The color palettes range from conservative “Ponder” to the aptly named “Untraditional” featuring plenty of sparkle.
